Moss, an indie rock band, with a novel sound, have outgrown their university roots and wanted to re-brand. They also needed marketing materials for their self-produced debut album, ‘The Subconscious’.
Working in collaboration with the musicians, we created an inexpensive branding solution, and extended it to all marketing collaterals: cd packaging, press kits, posters and promotional items. Short runs, on-demand print and in-house finishing kept the costs down without sacrificing quality.
To get the audience involved we used a dioptic effect to hide the name of the album in the large grey area, and asked them to guess what it was. Hint: if you stare at the poster’s grey area close-up, you can make out the word ‘subconscious’.
